Seeing blog for the first time!

Hello all! This is my first time ever on blog, so I am still figuring it out. It's a lot different than I thought it would be, but we'll see how it goes! I have recently become really interested in NCLB, and I was looking into the different categories of kids who have to take the tests for Iowa. I wondered if there was anything out there technology wise that could be used to help ESL students in the classroom that is more than just a computer. What I found was really interesting! One of the things I thought would be the most helpful to students, was a special smart board that ESL teachers and regular teachers alike can have in their room, and it coordinates with online text books as well. It says the online texts are easier for large groups of students to focus on together if they speak multiple languages! Let's say there are French,Bosnian, Spanish, and Russian speakers all in the same classroom. If they can all look at one text at the same time such as on a smart board or online texts and learn about them together, it truly helps in their learning. Amazing!
